FEES AND FAQ's

Free Initial Telephone Consultation

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel difficult, and it is natural to have questions or uncertainties along the way. A free 15-minute telephone consultation offers an opportunity for an informal conversation, where you can ask any questions you may have about counselling, discuss practical arrangements, and find out more about how I work. The consultation provides a chance for us to make an initial connection and for you to consider whether therapy with me feels right for you.

Online and Telephone Counselling - £55 per session

I offer both online and telephone counselling, providing a flexible way to access support from a place where you feel most comfortable. Whether you are at home, managing a busy schedule, or simply prefer remote sessions, therapy can still offer a safe and supportive space to explore whatever is on your mind.

Your First Session

Your first session offers a space to begin talking about what has brought you to therapy and what feels important for you at this time. There is no expectation to share everything at once, we can move at a pace that feels right for you.

As part of an initial assessment, we will gently explore your current circumstances, any relevant experiences, and what you hope to gain from counselling. This helps us to understand your needs and consider how we might work together moving forward.

Concessionary Rates

I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for students and those receiving benefits. If you would like to find out more about availability, please feel welcome to get in touch.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Choosing a therapist is an important decision, and it is natural to have questions before getting started. Below are answers to some of the questions most commonly asked.

You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you are finding life difficult, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a space to explore your thoughts and feelings, therapy can provide an opportunity for reflection, understanding, and change.

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the process. A safe and trusting therapeutic relationship can provide the foundation for meaningful exploration and change. The initial consultation and first session offer an opportunity for us to get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.

Many people come to therapy for the first time feeling unsure about what to expect. There is no right or wrong way to approach therapy, and you do not need to prepare anything in advance. We will begin wherever feels right for you.

Confidentiality is an important part of therapy. Everything discussed in sessions remains confidential, except in rare circumstances where there is a legal or ethical duty to share information, such as concerns about serious harm to yourself or others. This would be discussed with you wherever possible.

Weekly sessions are often recommended, particularly at the beginning of therapy, as they help build momentum and provide consistency. However, I recognise that everyone's circumstances are different. Together, we can discuss what feels realistic and supportive for you, taking into account both your therapeutic needs and the practicalities of everyday life.
